Mixed media artist
With a background in ceramics I have always liked tactile materials and a three dimensional approach. This is something I appreciate when working with textiles, papers and found objects. I enjoy exploring the variety of fabrics and techniques, screen and digital print, stitch and dyeing processes and to bring it all together. I am particularly fascinated by translucent materials and the effect and depth their layering can achieve.
Inspiration can come from anywhere – whether from an urban or natural environment, from something I read or a phrase I hear, a visual trigger – anything can find its way into my creative world.
I joined TAGS at the end of 2024 and have been a studio holder at Cuckoo Farm Studios in Colchester since 2021.
